I'd like to update my email address in my Editorial Manager account. To update your Editorial Manager account settings, please log into your account and then select your name in the upper right corner of your Editorial Manager desktop. When the menu opens, select Update My Information. When you are done updating your information, be sure to select Submit at the bottom of the screen.
I've forgotten my Editorial Manager user name and/or password. Editorial Office staff do not have access to user passwords. To request your user name and a password reset link be sent to you, select Send Login Details on the Editorial Manager home page.
Adding an author: Once a paper has been submitted, to change the byline requires all authors provide written approval of the additional author, to include the new author; that an explanation is provided as to why the author was omitted; and for each author to also supply details on their contribution(s) to the article. Responses should be collated into one PDF file and sent to jaad@aad.org, as well as uploaded with the revised manuscript.
Removing/Changing authorship: Similar to adding an author, this requires all authors provide written approval of the removal/change of authorship and an explanation as to why the author is being removed/changed. Manuscript status: The typical review process takes 4-6 weeks. Please feel free to check back after that timeframe if you have questions.
Error in accepted/published article: To request corrections to a published article, please email the JAAD Editorial Office with a detailed list of change(s) you are requesting, noting the page number in the published PDF, column and line numbers where the change(s) is needed, and a general explanation about why the paper needs correction.
Please note, once a paper has been published, any corrections must go through the publisher. Substantial changes must be approved by the editor.
Review extension: Please email the JAAD Editorial Office with your requested extension date, and we will adjust accordingly.

PDF build errors: Please email the JAAD Editorial Office with your name and the article title. We will contact support and inform you when the error has been resolved.
Transfer to JAAD Case Reports, JAAD International, or JAAD Reviews:
If the editor feels your manuscript is more suitable for an alternative journal, you will be offered a transfer to another JAAD journal. If you are offered a transfer option, there is a hard deadline by which the transfer must be completed. Editorial Office staff are unable to extend transfer deadlines.
OA fees:
OA fees are required for JAAD Case Reports, JAAD International, and JAAD Reviews. Dues-paying members of AAD are eligible for a 25% discount to OA fees. See specific journal FAQ for OA pricing. Please note: Fees for JAAD Reviews will be waived for manuscripts submitted in Calendar Year 2024.

Transfer deadline: Unfortunately, we are not able to alter transfer deadlines. If your deadline has already passed, submit your manuscript as a new paper. Please note in your cover letter that the manuscript is a transfer and mention the previous deadline.

If your name and email in the transferred journal's Editorial Manager system is different from the personal information listed in your JAAD Editorial Manager account, you will not be able to successfully transfer your manuscript. Please be sure to check all accounts when transferring manuscripts.
