Word, figure, table, and reference limits are strict in the main article text, but additional material can be provided as supplementary files. Supplementary materials are published on Mendeley, with a link in the print article. All supplemental material must be provided at submission, not after acceptance.
For peer review, supplemental material should be provided in Editorial Manager as separate supplemental files from the main manuscript text file. Supplemental material should be clearly marked, e.g., "supplemental figure 1." There is no word limit for supplemental material on Mendeley. However, Research Letters cannot include additional references, an abstract, or a capsule summary.
After article acceptance, editorial office staff will provide instructions for loading supplemental files to Mendeley.
