JAAD
As the official scientific publication of the American Academy of Dermatology, The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD) aims to satisfy the educational needs of the dermatology community. As the specialty's leading journal, JAAD features original, peer-reviewed articles emphasizing:
- clinical, investigative, and population-based studies
- healthcare delivery and quality of care research
- high quality, cost effective, and innovative treatments
- new diagnostic techniques, and
- other topics related to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the skin, hair, and nails
Each issue includes continuing medical education articles designed to fill practice and knowledge gaps in the delivery of dermatologic care. JAAD is also the official venue for practice guidelines established by the AAD. Our ultimate goal is to provide readers with content that advances the breadth and depth of dermatologic expertise by disseminating evidence-based recommendations to improve patient outcomes.
JAAD Case Reports
JAAD Case Reports® is one of two open access companion titles to the highly-respected Journal of The American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD). JDCR supports the advancement of clinical dermatology practice through its dedication to publishing traditional and interactive, new and novel case reports, case series, and images that are authentic, understandable, educational, and of interest to an audience of dermatologists, residents, fellows, and researchers in all dermatology subspecialties, as well as clinicians in related fields. Each submission should have an emphasis on high-quality, clinical photography.
Submissions should present any of the following: new diseases, new presentations of known diseases, new associations, new diagnostic techniques, new treatments including any adverse events and procedural techniques, as well as other cases related to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and improvement of the skin, hair, and nails.
All submissions are peer reviewed. To provide fully available, open access articles, authors are requested to pay a publication fee once their manuscript has been accepted. Following payment of this fee, the article will be made universally available at http://www.sciencedirect.com and on Elsevier's HealthAdvance platform.
JAAD International
JAAD International is one of two open access companion titles to the highly-respected Journal of The American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD). It publishes original, peer-reviewed articles of interest to an international audience of researchers, clinicians, and trainees in all dermatologic subspecialties, as well as physicians in related fields. Clinical and translational research studies containing new information that advances the understanding and practice of dermatology on a broad and inclusive basis are welcome. JAAD International accepts articles that facilitate comparative views of dermatologic diseases and treatment modalities. Particular attention will be given to epidemiological studies, public health issues, region-specific diseases, inflammatory and tropical skin diseases, and conference proceedings. Authors are encouraged to include high-quality images, as well as digital media, such as high-quality video, whenever possible. Please see the Guidelines for Authors for more details.

JAAD Reviews is one of three open access companion titles to the highly-respected Journal of The American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD).
JAAD Reviews seeks high quality, evidence-based reviews, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses that support the mission of JAAD. JAAD Reviews will consider review articles that advance dermatological expertise by publishing evidence-based research to help dermatologists improve patient outcomes.
