Reprint/Reuse Requests:
JAAD:
For article or image reuse requests, please go to the online version of the article containing the image you would like to use. On the article page, look to the top right corner and select the '© Request' button which will take you to the appropriate page to request reuse of JAAD images. Or visit CCC Marketplace and type in specifics about the article and images. If the use of images is for an educational presentation, click on the Figures icon at the top right side of the article page, and click Download Figures, which will provide a PowerPoint deck including attribution information.
Please note that the permissions process is controlled by Elsevier, and is not a function of the JAAD Editorial Office. Depending on the audience and reach of your project, the material's reuse may fall within a "fair use" definition and may not require a fee, although the publisher would need to make that determination. Similarly, if you believe you qualify for a need-based waiver, please contact the Elsevier Permissions Helpdesk for assistance.
Information about purchasing reprints is available here.
Open Access Journals:
Permitted reuse is defined by Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) user licenses, which allows users to: distribute and copy the article; create extracts, abstracts, and other revised versions, adaptations or derivative works of or from an article (such as a translation); include in a collective work (such as an anthology); and text or data mine the article. These uses are permitted even for commercial purposes, provided the user: gives appropriate credit to the author(s) (with a link to the formal publication through the relevant DOI); includes a link to the license; indicates if changes were made; and does not represent the author(s) as endorsing the adaptation of the article or modify the article in such a way as to damage the authors' honor or reputation.
